Charles Muiruri

Charles "muiruch au Garindogo" Muiruri was born and raised in Shauri Moyo, moved to Eastleigh section 3 (madiwa) and then later to Buruburu. He is the Co-founder of Farova Develpmental Initiative and a graduate of Ofafa Jericho high school, the University of Nairobi and University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (Gillings School of Global Public Health). Muiruch is married to Angie and they have two children (KK sisters).
Muiruch worked for Barclays Bank of Kenya, and later founded Nervenet Services in Kenya. While in Kenya he assisted his peers realize their academic dreams in US universities triggering a domino effect that lead to many Kenyan soccer players securing places at US universities.
Charles currently works at the Duke University Medical Center in the Infectious Diseases and International Health division. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience, in Global Health and project development to the FAROVA team.
Apart from his professional experience, Muiruch was part of the 1991 Kenya National championship team at Ofafa Jericho managed by the FAROVA education ambassador - Johnen Makumi, he later featured for Cooperative Bank and Barclays bank in the KFF leagues. Muiruch also featured youth teams in Okongo, Shauri, Madiwa, Salem, Buru among others. He loves the game but believes in equipping the youth with life skills that engender good citizenship.
